4-Day Working Week

Production & Assembly
SMT Assembly Operator
Production │ Ballynahinch
Operating surface mount technology equipment, including pick-and-place machines, solder paste printers, and reflow ovens. Setting up machines for new production runs, monitoring quality during assembly, and maintaining equipment to keep lines running efficiently.
PCB Assembly Technician
Production │ Ballynahinch
Hand soldering and rework of through-hole and surface mount components. IPC 610 inspection – visual and using microscopes and automated optical inspection (AOI) systems. Working to Class 2 and Class 3 workmanship standards for customers in regulated sectors.
Cable Assembly Operative
Production │ Ballynahinch
Building wiring harnesses and cable assemblies to IPC 620 standards. Crimp assembly, coaxial connections, looming, and continuity testing. Working from assembly drawings and wiring schedules for customers across defence, industrial, and medical sectors.
Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician

Box build and full system assembly – from sub-assemblies through to complete product builds. Working with PCBAs, cable assemblies, mechanical enclosures, and customer-specific test requirements.

IPC Inspector — PCB Assembly (IPC 610)
Quality │ Ballynahinch
Inspecting completed PCBAs to IPC 610 Class 2 and Class 3 workmanship standards. Visual inspection, AOI review, and flying probe test support. Documenting defects and working with production teams to resolve workmanship issues before the product ships.
IPC Inspector — Cable Assembly (IPC 620)
Quality │ Ballynahinch
Inspecting wire harnesses and cable assemblies to IPC 620 standards. Continuity testing, hi-pot testing, and customer-specific functional test. Verifying crimps, terminations, and routing against assembly drawings.
Engineering & Support
Test Engineer
Engineering │ Ballynahinch
Developing and supporting functional test solutions at sub-assembly and full assembly level. Working with customers and internal production teams to define test coverage, build test fixtures, and troubleshoot failures.
Manufacturing Engineer
Engineering │ Ballynahinch
Supporting new product introductions, writing assembly and inspection instructions, and working on design for manufacture recommendations. Identifying process improvements and supporting the production team with technical queries.

What types of jobs does Nitronica offer?

Do I need an electronics qualification to apply?
It depends on the role. For assembly and production operator positions, relevant hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing, particularly SMT, through-hole soldering, or cable assembly, is often more important than a formal qualification. For engineering roles, a relevant HNC, HND, degree, or apprenticeship in electronics or electrical engineering is typically required. IPC CIS certification (Certified IPC Specialist) is an advantage for inspection roles, though we are willing to support the right candidate through IPC training.
